Lincoln Builders was recently awarded the contract for the expansion of LSU’s Hilltop Arboretum. Since groundbreaking, progress is being made on the building with completion scheduled for August this year.
When completed this project will be the LSU System’s first LEED-certified building. The project more than doubles the existing meeting space and will feature the Beverly Brown Coates Auditorium, as well as a warming kitchen. Also included in the new facility is a courtyard which anchors the education facility to the existing open-air pavilion.
As well as for educational programming, the new structure will also host fundraising events and is the final piece of a 1999 master building plan by Lake Flato Architects of San Antonio, Texas.
