Ruston, Louisiana
Client: Temple Baptist Church :: Ruston, Louisiana
Lincoln Builders was called upon to asssist this client in the relocation of facilities from a land-locked downtown location to frontage property along Interstate 20 in Ruston. The new facilities encompass 156,000 square feet and include a 1,400-seat colonial design sanctuary, featuring gallery and balcony seating; two-story education wing connecting to both levels of the sanctuary; 27,000 square foot two-story family life center and a 3,365 square foot chapel for more intimate gatherings.
In 2009, Lincoln was called to build out an unfinished area called "The Gathering" for contemporary worship. This space included common area with casual seating and a coffee bar. In 2011, Lincoln was again selected to build the new children's education building, "The Journey Place." This 40,000 square foot addition provides 17 classrooms for preschool babies through five-year-olds on the first floor with the second floor accommodating first through sixth graders in 12 classrooms and a multipurpose room. A multi-level indoor play structure provides play time as well, with all children's ministry activities taking place in a secure environment.
“By having Lincoln Builders as a participant in the project early on, I observed that cost control was achieved in the design process through completion of construction.”
James Davison, Building Committee Chairman
